Abstract

In today's ever-changing educational system, it is crucial to invest in long-term teacher professional development (TPD) programs to keep up with the latest trends and guarantee better student results and better teaching methods.  The importance of school leaders, mentors, and teachers developing leadership abilities that promote ongoing professional development is highlighted in this research, which delves into the crucial function of leadership capabilities in promoting long-term professional development (TPD).  This study focusses on the characteristics of effective leaders and how they might improve teacher engagement, motivation, and resilience. These characteristics include collaborative decision-making, instructional leadership, and transformational leadership.  In order to determine the impact of leadership-driven professional development programs, this study uses a descriptive strategy, together with questionnaires and in-depth discussions with school administrators and teachers.  Results show that instructional creativity, school resilience in the face of educational changes, and teacher retention are all positively correlated with school leadership structures.  In order to make sure that TPD programs work in varied school contexts for the long run, the research suggests ways to include leadership development into them.
