Author Guidelines

Research Review Journal of Social Science (RRJSS) invites original, unpublished research articles, review papers, case studies, and short communications across multiple disciplines. Submissions must demonstrate academic rigor, originality, and relevance to interdisciplinary research.

Language & Multilingual Submissions

RRJSS accepts manuscripts in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Authors must ensure linguistic clarity and academic style. Non-English submissions should include an abstract, keywords, and author’s details in English.

Formatting Requirements

  • Font: System default sans-serif (OJS 3.5 theme font)
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Headings: Use consistent heading levels (e.g., Heading 1, Heading 2)
  • Page Numbers: Include in the bottom-right corner

APA Style Citation (7th Edition)

All citations and references must follow APA 7th edition guidelines.

  • One author: (Patel, 2020)
  • Two authors: (Sen & Roy, 2022)
  • Three or more authors: (Mehta et al., 2021)

Manuscript Structure

  • Title Page: Title, author(s), affiliation(s), ORCID, email, corresponding author details
  • Abstract: 150–250 words with 4–6 keywords
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review (if applicable)
  • Objectives/Research Questions
  • Methodology
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References (APA 7th)
  • Appendices (if any)

Figures, Tables, and Illustrations

  • All figures/tables must be clearly labeled and numbered (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2)
  • Provide a brief caption and cite the source if adapted from another work
  • Embed figures/tables in the manuscript at appropriate locations

Plagiarism and Originality

  • Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere
  • A Turnitin report (or equivalent) with a similarity index ≤10% must be submitted
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of content

AI Usage Declaration

If AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly) were used during manuscript preparation, authors must clearly disclose this in the "Acknowledgment" or "Methods" section. AI-generated content must not exceed 15%.

Submission Process

  • Submit manuscripts using the SUBMISSIONS tab on the website
  • Email submissions to editor@rrjournals.co.in
  • Include a cover letter stating submission type, originality declaration, and conflict of interest (if any)

Peer Review Process

RRJSS follows a double-blind peer review process. The identity of both authors and reviewers is kept confidential. The review process usually takes 4–6 weeks.

Copyright & Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright
  • All articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND) license
  • Authors grant RRJSS a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the work

Author Responsibilities

  • Ensure ethical compliance and proper citation
  • Disclose all sources of funding or conflict of interest
  • Cooperate with editorial decisions and revise as required

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
