Challenges encountered by Teachers in professional domain: Peruse on plight and predicament undergone by teachers

Teaching is a noble profession, and teachers are revered in every society across the world. After home and family members a child learns manner etiquettes and disciple from teachers. There are multiferous activities that a teacher performs. From the very early stage of formal education a teacher is the one who shoulders immense responsibility in educating the students. Responsibility does not remain confined to teaching only. The tremendous workload, climate at the workplace, effectively tackling the organisational demands, handling various kinds of colleagues and meeting deadlines - are some of the hazards that teachers face almost on daily basis. Apart from these factors mentioned above there are innumerable matter that affects teachers’ wellness. Various detrimental correlated factors are confronted by teachers at their workplace. Besides, various sudden and abrupt circumstances at workplace activates stress among teachers. Various empirical research is being held to study the intricate factors that contribute to teachers’ well-being. Educational researchers have been highlighting various coping strategies and way - outs by which teachers can benefit and emerge successful in dealing with burnouts and stress and workplace related complications. The objective of article is to get a myopic view on the various studies that could help us reflect on the various atrocities and hurdles teachers face in their profession. Even though unpleasant reports and incidents on teachers maligning their students and harassing their scholars do make headlines and attract attention, still we keep faith in them as they are the most significant people after our parents who contributes to our life. They play substantial role on shaping our future.
