Abstract

Ambedkar was an advocate for gender equality in India. He accomplished this with the intention of restructuring society based on egalitarian principles. Through his works titled "Caste in India," "Annihilation of Caste," and "Advocacy of Uniform Civil Code and Hindu Code Bill," he advocated for the restructuring of society by advocating for gender equality and the equalisation of relationships between men and women. The idea included bestowing the state with more jurisdiction to interfere not just in external concerns but also in internal affairs, such as marriage and divorce.

  • Dr. Suresh Prasad Ahirwar, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Rajmata Scindia Govt. PG. Girls College Chhindwara Madhya Pradesh

    Suresh Prasad Ahirwar received his Bachelor of science from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar Madhya Pradesh, India, Master of Arts of the Same University. He has obtained M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Sociology from the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He received Junior Research Fellowship from UGC for his research work. He started his academic career in Sociology in 2012 from Departemnt of Higher education Madhya Pradesh, India. He is currently working as Assistant Professor & Head of Department of Sociology, Rajmata Scindia Govt. P.G. Girls College Chhindwara Madhya Pradesh, India. He is also a member of the Indian Sociological Society, New Delhi, India. He Published a book on “Social Exclusion and Empowerment of Dalits India”.
